What in the Galaxy are Porgs? (Amigurumi pattern)

So we got a glimpse of Porgs in the latest Star Wars featurette. Although admittedly I’m not a massive Star Wars fan but I am still somewhat of a nerd and like sci-fi/fantasy stuffs. I have watched 90% of all the Star Wars movies and, recently, the Last Jedi, featuring a woman Jedi and an old Luke Skywalker. How exciting! I’m looking forward to the next movie and I saw the new cute creature called the Porgs. We don’t know too much from the Porgs yet but the name is already a winner in my opinion. Porgs Porgs Porgs...

Prawn Noodles Hunt

It’s been a long time since I had good, awesome prawn noodles. If you must know, I live in the west and everyone knows the west of Singapore is a foodie vacuum. There I said it. I know, sad right? Bucket List: Halong Bay

Ever since we saw beautiful photos of Halong Bay, we knew it was a place we really wanted to go. Halong Bay is also a UNESCO World Heritage site and we are kinda suckers for that kind of trip. The Day I Lost My Baby

It is such a blessing to be celebrating Grace's birthday again. She will be eight this year and time really flies. Usually at this time I will get motherly mollycoddling attacks and go through all of Grace's old baby photos with rojak feelings of happiness, regret, sadness, jealousy, longing and peace. As you know, Grace is my only child, so I definitely have more time and attention on her than if I were to have more than one kid. And don't hesitate to tell me that she is spoilt too. That said, this post is not really about Grace...

Loopy for Durians

It is no secret we are huge durian lovers. It was a while since the last great durian season (2015) and we were craving for some proper delicious, sweet and creamy goodness. Ever since 2015, the best durian we had was at Bao Sheng Durian Farm in Penang. However even they have a shortage in supply this year and we were also too busy to make the 12 hour drive to Penang. There are a couple of reason for the serious durian shortage. First the weather hasn't been conducive for productivity. Durians prefer a dry season for flowering and...
