You may be considering a huge number of places to visit in Singapore, such as the Marina Bay Sands casino, or Gardens by the Bay, or Sentosa, or even the Singapore Zoo and Bird Park but if you ask me where is the place I love to go and bring people tomthe most, it is the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
There’s been a lot of talk going around in hoping that the Gardens, originally set up by the British to have a nice place to enjoy a spot o’ tea, will become a World UNESCO Heritage site, the first in Singapore. I really hope it does! Since most of old kampung Singapore was already transformed to a busy metropolis with towering skycrapers and apartments, there is nothing worth visiting now in Singapore more than the Gardens.
When you are at the Botanic Gardens, you definitely should not miss the National Orchid Gardens. Orchids are the most local products that Singapore can claim to locally make.
Fun Fact: It boasts a collection of more than 1,000 species and 2,000 hybrids of orchids.
