Iron Man (Nano) Nano Gauntlet Amigurumi

Update: I finally watched the movie.

Relax, absolutely no spoilers on Avengers: Endgame here. Just a free amigurumi pattern of the Nano gauntlet (all my patterns are always free). If you still do not know what a nano gauntlet is, I only know it belongs to Iron Man but I have not watched the movie either so I have no idea what it is for except it has something to do with stopping the deranged Thanos.

However the toys are here and we have some pictures to go with for the pattern! I’m a big fan of Iron Man so why not?

Thumb

1sc x 6 in red yarn

1sc x 6

2sc, 1sc x 5

2sc, 1sc x 6

Turn, 1sc x 3 in next stitch

Turn, 1sc x 2 in next stitch

Leave a long tail.

Stitch a yellow or gold yarn around the knuckle of the thumb.

Optional: Stick a wire into each finger to bend to your will.

Fingers 2 & 4

1sc x 4 in red yarn

2sc, 1sc x 3

Rows 3-7: 1sc x 7

Finger 3rd

On all the fingers, use yellow or gold yarn to stitch around the knuckles.

Palm

Base oval: Using Red yarn Chain 6, Turn, 1sc in 3rd stitch, 1sc x 6, 2sc, 1sc x 7, 2sc

In the inner loops of each stitch, 1sc x 2, silver 1sc x 2, red 1sc x 3, silver 1sc x 2, red 1sc x 10

2sc, 1sc x 2, silver 1sc x 4, red 1sc x 2, 2sc, 1sc x 9

Sew some silver yarn around the silver area on the palm to define it better.

Sew on the infinity stones. Each infinity stone is a magic ring and 1sc. You can use beads or gems or anything you think would work better!

We start closing the hole here, stuff it as you go along. 1dec, 1sc x 4, 1dec, 1sc x 3, 1dec, 1sc x 3, 1dec, 1sc x 3. (17)

It is ok if there is still a small hole left as we will sew the fingers and thumb on and it will cover the hole. The fingers should should be attached in order and nearer to the back of the palm. Here is a side view.

When you have finished attaching the fingers, use yellow or gold yarn to stitch around the base of each finger (not thumb).

Almost done but it does not look like a gauntlet yet. Turn to the base of your palm and find the outer stitch of your oval base that is below the first right silver. I have indicated here with my hook.

This is your first stitch for the rest of the gauntlet. Follow the pattern below.

Use silver yarn to create the designs on the side and also to highlight the wrist. Here is the original design for reference.

And here it is in my hand for scale, about 4 inches long. It is a nano Nano Gauntlet!

Finally, I suppose you could make Thanos Infinity Gauntlet just by changing up the colours and changing the stitch pattern, if you really want to pretend to wield the power of the universe. No judgement here. Have fun!
