Thanks to CapitaStar, I managed to snap up the hotly anticipated Jewel at Changi preview tickets and treat my family, especially my 90-year-old grandma, to this spanking new mall. Here’s my dear grandma and mom!
As you probably have read from all the media reports, the place is AMAZING! And it is huge. After 3 long hours of walking non-stop, it became clear that we can either choose to remain in the shopper’s trap for at least 24 hours or get out while we can before we lose the willpower altogether. So we left, begrudgingly.
In our short foray into the worldly pleasures of glitzy shops and sales, I quickly realise that it was also a foodie heaven as well. Other than that A&W is back in Singapore after 16 years (I’m glad I lived long enough to see its return /sarcasm), which Singaporeans seem to be willing to queue hours for a little bite of nostalgia, I was even more excited to hear that it was going to be open 24 hours. And then I was totally beside myself when I realised that there are more than one 24-hour food outlets available, and here’s the full list!

Beat the queue, come at 2am. When I arrived at 12:45am, I had to wait 30 mins in line and another 30 mins for the food to arrive. And they were all out of coney dogs. Bummer. At least I got my waffles which are very authenticity American. The other items are simply as good as other fast food chains. Sorry, I know this will offend a lot of people but I’m not a fan of curly fries.
